Wide chines deflect spray, improve low speed performance, and improve stability both on and off plane.
Shallow 10° bottom deadrise aft (14° on the 23s) adds to stability; accounts for
boats easily driven hulls and keeps drafts down to 6" -14", depending upon model.
Deep rugged keels add tremendous strength to the bottom, improve tracking, reduce skidding in turns and help center the hull on trailers with keel rollers.
Rounded bows provide significantly more reserve buoyancy than pointed bows, increase interior usable space and enhance seaworthiness in steep sea conditions because the added buoyancy lifts the bow.
Extreme flare combined with wide chines contributes to Maritime's reputation as very dry boats.
Wide waterline beam accounts for Maritime's excellent stability when heavily loaded.
Bow deadrise is 35-50°, depending on model. Because the hull runs flat, this vee portion of the hull remains in the water, resulting in a smooth ride.
Lifting strakes stiffen the bottom panels, add stability when on plane and deflect spray out and away from the hull.
Maritime hulls are strengthened internally with an all-fiberglass grid and fiberglassed cored transoms for long life and dependable service. (Photo right)
All Maritime hulls are foam filled for safety. Foam also adds to hull stiffness and a quieter ride.
Maritime cockpit floors are limited lifetime warranty, pressure-treated plywood, covered with three layers of fiberglass. This adds to the hull's stiffness and provides very good screw-holding power for attaching consoles and leaning posts.
The backbone of all Maritimes is a unique, pre-cast all-fiberglass grid. It runs full length, dramatically stiffening the hull while supporting the boat's floor. (Photo right)
Large 1-1/2" scuppers on all models drain cockpit water directly through the transom. No hoses, clamps, or clogged elbows to worry about.
Warranty
Maritimes are covered by a TEN-YEAR NON-PRORATED LIMITED TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY and a LIFETIME NO-ROT WARRANTY for boats used recreationally. This warranty is provided in each owner's package available at Maritime dealers or by contacting the factory. Warranties are voided by overpowering or when mounted on unapproved roller trailers. (See trailers for trailer selection guidance.)
