The 23 Patriot has a big center cabin, with a 71"' berth and 59" of headroom in the cuddy. It offers maximum wind and weather protection, yet provides all the walk-around conveniences of a center console. Canvas side & rear curtains are available as are quality windshield wipers for those inclement days when you still want to go boating. Power range of this very capable offshore family/fishing boat is 130-225 HP.

Performance with maximum horsepower is outstanding. Top speeds consistently in the 45 MPH range have been recorded with 3-5 persons on board. Good cruising speeds of 20-30 MPH are common with RPM's as low as 3500. Further testing with mid-range 130-150 HP engines showed the hull to be very fuel-efficient. Top speeds with 130-150 four-strokes ranged between 35 MPH to 43 MPH. At 24 MPH, the boat had a cruising range of over 260 miles, obtaining 3.5 MPG.


This jumping shot was performed by a professional to provide a good look at the 23's bottom. Deadrise twists from 14° at the transom to 50° forward. Chines are a characteristically wide 6", and lifting strakes are proportioned for good dynamic stability as well as spray deflection. Like all other Maritimes, the 23' has a very rugged external keel, which completely eliminates sliding in turns and aids in straight tracking at slower speeds.

We've maintained the rounded bow, which provides tremendous buoyancy when plunging into steep seas, as well as extreme flare, which carries back to midships. This contributes significantly to the boat's dry ride in heavy weather.

With engine trimmed out for maximum performance (45+ MPH), note how clean the 23' runs. A clean-running hull is a fuel efficient hull.

Bunk size on the 23' Patriot measures 50" wide by 71" long. The step-down storage area is 30" wide by 7' 6" long. Bunk cushions are optional.

   Abundant hand rails, overhead radio box, and
   non-glare dash are standard.

The 23' easily tows on a 5000 lb. tandem trailer.
