What Others Say About Us.
I finally got around to sending you a picture of my California rigged 20-D and give you an update. First off, I LOVE the boat! It is absolutely
perfect for safely and economically fishing our local islands. I'm averaging 15 gallons of gas for a typical 70 mile trip, which makes fishing
every weekend very reasonable. I really expected a harsher ride for the amount of V in the hull, I can't believe how smooth it is at 20 MPH in a 2'
chop (our typical conditions). It’s amazing all the compliments and questions I get on the boat. When people see all the room I have left after
adding a 38 gallon bait tank and a 96 qt. cooler they’re amazed, and when they hear the fuel consumption they’re shocked. I really enjoy having such
a unique boat and still believe it’s the perfect west coast boat. Keep making your wonderful boats and I hope to see more of them out here
someday!

We just completed our fourth season with our 20' Classic. The boat gets better with age! We continue to have memorable day trips and overnights. I still cannot believe how dry and comfortable the boat is. Coming home from the UBS America's Cup races in Newport we encountered nasty conditions (6 to 8' seas and 25- 30 knot winds head on). We just climbed up and over those waves slow and steady and we got back safe and sound! Keep up the good work.

Just purchased my 20' Maritime Defiant and am quite impressed. Complaints are easy to come by but I have none. Now for the "best" part
the ride
the stability
the dryness of my Maritime is excellent!! My previous boats gave me and my family a beating experience when hitting choppy waves, both were fast but not a great ride
not the Maritime. The 115 Yamaha does give the Maritime extra power but the Maritime's construction is what makes the ride great. Thanks again for producing/offering a great boat
I guess you're also now wondering why I chose the Maritime
word of mouth recommendations.

Just wanted to update you on the Fuel Consumption on my 23' Classic w/ a 225 hp Suzuki.
At last fuel up we had 61.3 hours on the boat and had used a total of 194.46 gallons for an average of 3.17 gallons per hour.
The fuel economy is a great surprise considering the amount of watersports we are using the boat for daily. My son loves tubing (not the most fuel efficient of speeds) but he has a blast and the boat is very comfortable with all the people on board waiting their turn.
Thanks again, George
I have attached a photo of my 1890. I love it so much. Thanks for making such a fantastic boat.
Makes me smile every time I see it.

Now that I have mastered the handling characteristics of the 23 Challenger, I am happier now than when we bought it (and I was really happy then). There is not a time out on the boat that we do not appreciate all of the thought
you have integrated in the design. For Holly to be able to easily make her way to the bow using the best rail system I’ve seen and clean surfaces is a
real plus. At least once a week we take friends out to dinner to a restaurant on the water about 6 miles from our boat club with chop at 2-3
feet common. Cruising at 20+ knots has been dry and comfortable. All of our boating guests have been pleasantly surprised at staying so dry. Also have
the thumbs up from two retired Navy officers who take their boating very seriously. It was a lengthy search to find the right boat but we did when
found the Challenger. It is a good feeling and reassuring to know that we are on such a safe boat when nature changes Long Island Sound from lamb to lion.

I took possession of my 23 Voyager on Labor Day weekend and it is an absolutely FANTASTIC vessel. It is everything you say and more!! We put a Yamaha 150 4/stroke on it and it's great. Many people both stare and comment what a clean functional boat it is. It is a real pleasure to fish and ride from, the spray deflection and ride through rough seas is awesome. I am thrilled.

I am into the second season with my 23 Patriot. She is solid, dry, and handles great in all sea conditions. Powered by a 140 HP four-stroke Suzuki
she gets excellent gas mileage, over 3 N. M. per gallon, and cruises easily at 22-25 knots; top end is 32 knots. Overall quality is excellent and
everything was well thought out. From the short chop of Delaware Bay to the rips off Cape May, NJ, to 3-5 ft. seas 45 miles offshore, she is a pleasure
to fish. The cabin is great for storage and weather protection. The 23 Patriot has the ride and feeling of a much larger boat. My season is April
through December. This boat is fished in all types of weather and sea
conditions and has handled all of it without a problem. You should be very proud to put your name on this boat.
Thank you, Charlie K.
I use my Maritime Skiff 20-D model on the Chesapeake Bay. The openness of this boat allows me to take many people fishing, and the platform allows for
great flycasting. This has been an excellent, seaworthy boat. Last April, my first trip out, I took a friend to the Susquehanna Flats, a reknown catch
and release striper fishery. The quiet running Honda and the shallow draft allowed us to fish quietly and in a lot of shallow areas. We caught 12
stripers between 35 and 41 inches that day
also my best day ever. This summer I took friends and family out crabbing and was able to have 7 or 8
people on the boat all taking turns netting, and the boat was as stable as ever. In the rougher fall and winter months, I fished when few others were
out. This boat takes steep seas and rough water extremely well with no spray in the face (as with my old C-Hawk). I teach boating and fishing for various
Women's organizations and they are convinced they can all become captains themselves when they see how easy this boat is to operate. Since I use the
boat about 200 days a year, I find the low maintenance and fuel economy very satisfactory!

I'm the proud owner of a 20-D Maritime. I love the boat and it handles great. Here's a picture of the striper I caught on the first trip out. I am impressed on the little amount of gas that I use on any given day. I have also found that if the wind isn't blowing more than 25 mph, it is almost impossible to get wet!! Thanks again for a great boat.
Take Care, Fred
At the beginning of the season I was afraid that I underpowered my 23 Defiant. Everybody I talked to and every boat of similar size all had
200-225 hp motors and here I was with a small 140 hp motor. As the season started I was amazed. We fished the opening day of striper season and ran
the boat 15 hours and traveled approximately 70-80nm. At the end of the day I only burned 15.9 gal of gas. Run a boat that long and that far and only
use that amount of gas. Who would have thought! As the season progressed and gas prices skyrocketed I started to think ... oh my god, I'm going to
need a second job just to keep gas in the boat. Not so! Now let's put things in perspective; as of yesterday I just turned 220 hrs. on my motor
and have traveled approximately 1700nm in the boat (according to the gps) and burned no more than 15-20 gal. of gas (maybe 25 gal. at the most) per
trip. Before going out I put $50 in the tank, ran all day and the gas gauge never moved. Heck, I spend more money in a week on gas for my pickup truck
and don't get the enjoyment I do on this boat. I can't say how happy I am with the boat. This is the driest most economical boat I have ever owned,
not to say what space! I've been able to fish 3-4 guys at a time casting and have not had anyone complain about being in someone else's way.

"Just thought I would drop you a line and a few scans to let you know how much we've enjoyed our new 20 ft. Maritime Pioneer and 90 HP Suzuki four stroke. She gives you a much smoother ride than our old Whaler, you can fish all day, and you're lucky if you burn $10 worth of fuel. Keep up the good work, job well done guys!! Thanks. She's one fish-catching boat."
Mike, Phil and the crew.
This note is to let you know that our experience with our new 20 ft. Maritime has lived up to expectations from promotional materials, publications and discussions with dealers. We are extremely pleased with her performance.
As a former owner of three of the "BW" boats (which served us well) I can say that the "MS" design is roomier, drier, and more than ample for the recent blows off Chatham.
Richard F. and Carol I.
"I've had it out in the rips off Martha's Vineyard and off Newport, RI and it handles awesome. It's the finest 18 footer I've ever been on. Previously I owned a Whaler 17 Montauk, no comparison. Maritime is all you said it would be and then some."

Just wanted to take the opportunity to say thanks for putting together a great boat. I must also say that the selection of hardware is first class. I have never seen a cleat design like that for mounting, looks and strength. I have found that the Johnson 90 Ocean Runner is a perfect match for the 20-D. My crew and I are no little guys. Three or Four BIG guys in the boat had no problem getting to plane and holding 20 mph at 3500 rpm.
Ron J.
I am a commercial fisherman out of Long Beach, L.I. and owned many boats prior to this one. I have to give you guys and gals credit for this one. This is everything a 20 ft. center console can offer. I was in 6-8 foot seas the other day and could not believe how the boat performed in those conditions. I am an old salt and I will recommend this boat to all my fellow fishermen. Thank you for coming out with a boat that you finally get your bang for your buck. Very happy.
Joe.
I just wanted to let you know how much I love my new 2090 with a 90 HP Merc. The performance, gas mileage, and dry ride from this boat is unbelievable. As for a fishing platform, this boat gets an A+. I've run this boat from Manasquan inlet N.J. to Ptown Mass. this year in some sloppy conditions and it's performed extremely well. This boat exceeded all of my expectations.

Just a word to thank you for a great boat. This boat is awesome!!! (from my 15 yr. old daughter). We have spent many hours in LI Sound fishing and having a blast. This is a very DRY and STABLE boat. I trailer the boat about 40 minutes to the Sound. You never know it is on the truck. Just wanted to say thanks for a great product.

I have had my 18 Maritime out in some of the nastiest weather us Northeast small boaters can handle. It is always reassuring knowing that my Maritime will keep me dry and outperform most other small boats. I opted to power my 2001 hull with a 2000 Johnson 90 and I always feel comfortable knowing I have plenty of power. Top speed W.O.T. is an amazing 44 MPH according to my GPS, but more importantly, I can cruise from 20-30 MPH while running between 3000 and 4000 RPM. I can't say enough about it.
Raymond G.
"Just wanted you to know that we took the much anticipated delivery of our Maritime 2090 with a Honda 90 HP up here on Lake Champlain this Monday. What a boat! It is incredibly solid, stable and comfortable – much more than the Whalers I've been in – yet very responsive to helm and throttle. I am very impressed with how quick it is with "just" 90 HP. Indeed, even when we put the whole family in, performance barely suffered. You really have to kill the engine to get the hull off plane. Also, although I wasn't buying the boat for its "dock appeal" (I put a higher value on sturdiness, practicality, efficiency and value for the money), I have to say she looks much prettier in the flesh that I expected – clean, classic lines. Photographs don't do her justice!"
Peter P.
I took her out for the first time Saturday and was amazed at her performance. Not to mention how dry she was!! She handled the sloppy confused waters of the Hudson like a dream come true. Nearly no pounding and a very soft ride. We also took her out Monday morning in not so pleasant conditions. We had 15-30 mph winds from the north and driving rain. This time we left out of Norwalk CT in the LI Sound. The seas in the harbor were 2-3 ft. and as we got out they quickly changed to 4-6 with some 8-10 ft. Rogue waves from time to time. Needless to say the boat was dry! Not even the 10 ft'er we took head on produced any spray!! Could not believe it. I have never been more pleased with any purchase as I am with your 20-D. Although your boats do not have all the fancy bells and whistles that some other manufacturers have, you have created one of the best riding, driest boats I have ever been on. In the grand scheme of things, dry, stable and low maintenance is what everyone is looking for in a boat and you certainly have proven that Maritime delivers all three and costs thousands less.
